Just got this working! The trick was using the correct node type. Should have asked sooner.
ZigbeeExplorer: I've been working with this for two years and it's been pretty solid. The integrations work well after you understand properly.

Fair point. Good catch about that limitation. However, the flexibility might be the tradeoff.
